The Baseline Institute serves as the Project Coordinator supporting all aspects of the Chicago-based Fellowship. The work includes supporting the program governance committee, building relationships with host organizations, recruiting fellows and managing program contractors.
The Baseline Institute served as the Round 19 & 20 Equity Consultant for the Partners for Places Program (2022-2024). The Baseline Institute was responsible for designing, implementing, facilitating and revising all support services offered to Round 19 & 20 grant teams. The Baseline Institute did this in collaboration with USDN's Equity Practices Manager, Celía Burke.
The Baseline Institute was hired by Earthjustice to develop a high-level approach to reducing greenhouse gas emissions from their offices. This approach included policy scans of the local, state and federal barriers and opportunities to energy efficiency and renewable energy procurement for each Earthjustice office.
The Baseline Institute developed an equity first approach for the the Partners for Places Selections Committee in order to provide guidance to their grant application selection process. The Baseline Institute then facilitated training sessions to support committee members as they evaluated applications and completed the grant team selection process.
In 2022, Earthjustice hired the Baseline Institute to conduct a facility level climate risk and response evaluation for the organization's real estate portfolio. The Baseline Institute conducted an analysis for three of Earthjustice's existing real estate holdings.
